Mopar 4105409AC Oil Filter Review

Good product for the price, much better than the cardboard core filters even in this price range. The check valve is a great thing.

This is a solid oil filter. Honestly, unless you have a very powerful car, you can't go wrong with oil filters. Buying a factory mopar also gives you peace of mind. It worked very well and I have no major complaints. The only thing I don't like is the lack of a rubberized coating on the top that makes it easier to grip when putting on and taking off. More comfort than functionality. I would recommend this, but it won't do any better than your other average filters from other well-known brands.

I give it three stars because it works like an oil filter. Consider giving less as this is OEM gear meaning it must have a better valving to prevent dry running. Many Chrysler vehicles use a horizontal filter and need it even more than others! This valve only lasted a few weeks in moderate heat. It will now cause horrible valve rattle if you don't crank it up right after starting :( When other people start it they aren't ready for it and major engine work becomes more inevitable.
