Not Your Dad's Welder

I was going to give this welder 5 stars and would if there weren't a couple of minor issues.” It got here in just 3 days than it should have gone in a week or two. It was well packaged too. The welder is certainly high quality, well built and produces a good solid seam. The wand is high quality and works. "Well the controls feel solid and the digital readings are good.It fits a larger spool of .30 solid wire, 1.0mm diameter, that comes with the .35" tip of the welder. This was the first reason…

Pros
  • Convenient Cored Wire: This welder can use .024", .031" and .039" diameter flux cored wire and solid filler wire. It can handle 2.2 lbs and 11 lbs of coiled wire. You can control the wire feed speed This is the perfect choice for an entry level welder
Cons
  • Some bugs

Good little welder. Start Tig not pull.

Bought a few months ago but wanted to give it a try before I write a (long) review. I used it first with a 220V socket and then with a 220V generator and honestly didn't notice any difference. Right out of the box I noticed that the ground clip is not very good. Works but needs to be replaced. The ground wire is VERY short. Everything else seemed solid and of decent quality. Stick welding was surprisingly easy. The rod clamp actually holds up well and has a decent cable length. Ran through some

Pros
  • Compact and portable: light weight 18.5 lbs, with comfortable grip, easy to install and store. Ideal for outdoor repairs, rusty metal, farm and road machinery, maintenance and repair.
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Very helpful review!

Let me start by saying that I am specifically reviewing the Mophorn MIG Welder 200 Amp MIG TIG Arc Welder. Reading these reviews, it becomes clear that several different models are placed in a pile of reviews. This is probably normal as these models only differ in wattage rating, but I'm specifically talking about the 200 amp model. This rating only covers the MIG capabilities of this welder. This is a very cheap welder made in China. It cost $325 when I bought it less than a month ago…

Pros
  • Advanced IGBT Technology: The MIG-200 welder uses the most advanced IGBT inverter technology with excellent arc stability. Suitable for welding carbon steel, iron, stainless steel and other metals.
Cons
  • boring packaging
