Bought a few months ago but wanted to give it a try before I write a (long) review. I used it first with a 220V socket and then with a 220V generator and honestly didn't notice any difference. Right out of the box I noticed that the ground clip is not very good. Works but needs to be replaced. The ground wire is VERY short. Everything else seemed solid and of decent quality. Stick welding was surprisingly easy. The rod clamp actually holds up well and has a decent cable length. Ran through some regular bars and had no issues with DCEP and DCEN. I noticed that it gets a little warm. After reducing the power, everything worked perfectly. MIG welding was a bit more difficult. This is a very unforgiving welder so adjust the settings before attempting a weld. Practice on a pry bar until perfect. I tried the flux core first and it worked fine. Then I tried Double Shield with c25 and it was surprisingly good. After that I ran solid wire and it was pretty good too. Finally, I tried TIG welding with her. THIS IS NOT A LIFT TIG. THIS IS THE BEGINNING. Tungsten is always live so be careful. Started with 1/16 red tungsten, gas lens, pure argon and #8 cup. The TIG torch is leaking horribly and needs to be replaced. The cable and gas hose are a decent length. Despite a restart and a leaking torch, the TIG welding went quite well. As with the stick and the moment it was a little hot. It was very smooth and the puddle was easy to control. I had no problems with carbon and stainless steel. It's also worth noting that I exceeded the rated service life several times and the welding never stopped. Overall, this is a decent little welder. This isn't a commercial strain, of course, but she's great for home use. I would honestly give it 5 stars but the TIG torch was leaking, short ground wire and cheap ground terminal.
