Goldfinches love it!

A few days after we hung the feeder, we saw the goldfinch enjoying it. It was three yesterday! This is a great product for attracting, feeding and observing beautiful goldfinches!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

A simple solution for bird lovers

Haven't hung up yet but am looking forward to the results. Pretty sure the songbirds will love it! The only downside for us is that we can no longer buy thistles because they are quite expensive. Any suggestions?

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • The list will go on.

Not worth the money

I had it almost three weeks. Not a single bird tried to eat from it. I ordered a thistle eater and goldfinch comes almost every day. Don't waste your money and spend a few extra bucks on an actual thistle bird feeder.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Long delivery time

I replaced them with Kaytee Super Finch Sock

I love feeding birds. This brought not only goldfinches, but also red and purple finches. Unfortunately I forgot to bring it in at night and the bear took a bite of it. I replaced it with Kaytee Super Finch Sock, which is a mix of small seeds in addition to thistle. They seem to like it better.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Reliability

Maybe Michigan finches aren't as smart as others

Maybe Michigan finches aren't as smart as others, but they never came up with the idea of a thistle seed sock. They looked at him a few times and then ignored him. After a few weeks I gave up and bought a regular goldfinch feeder and emptied the thistles from a sock into the feeder. Goldfinches use it during the day. At the very least, the Michigan goldfinch's enemy, forget the sock and buy a feeder.

Pros
  • Simple design
Cons
  • I'll add later

Cool sock! good for bird seed

I ordered a bag of Nyjer {thistle seed} with a sock but the seeds failed. To keep our herds happy, I ordered one of these. It started working the first day I posted it. And it still works. It can be refilled. Since I have a sock with big holes I'm not sure if it will work {what they will eat of it} but I'll add some thistle seeds. one. For the price they are worth it as they are packed with seeds too. I'll definitely take more if needed! Very happy, as are our beautiful feathered friends.!

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • not reliable

This is a great feeder

I ordered this feeder and am completely satisfied with it. Because of this extreme Northeast Pennsylvania winter, I've had more finches than ever - probably over 80-100! I need to fill this sock every day, and I have 2 of these (although different brands). This sock has a slightly wider weave and the birds just love it. The flip top has held up well for me, I open and close it very carefully and have had no problems. All in all I would recommend this sock to anyone looking to feed their…
