These stones are very beautiful but not polished to a shine, they are rubbed to a shine. I bought these to use in a small fountain and the wax on the rocks was a problem. I had to wash the stones and I will have to run clean water through the pump several times to get rid of the wax that has turned to lime. The seller must explain that these stones are not naturally shiny, they are just naturally smooth. I think using it as a vase fill will cause the same problem as using it in a fountain. I…

I would give these stones a higher rating but not sure what they are coated with. Some reviews indicated that the stones had a waxy feel and that they needed to be washed before use. I have ordered three. Based on the list, I have the impression that I am getting 3 FULL containers. 5 pounds x 3 = 15 pounds. But I only got one container that was full. The other two were POSSIBLY half full. I bought 15 pounds of stones and received less than 10 pounds. All three containers also arrived damaged.
