Great replacement remote for Logitec Z5500. This brought back full functionality for my set. All buttons work, I am satisfied with the purchase.

I received this product and its replacement piece by piece. To test the stiffness of the material I gently pressed the 1st remote against part of the remote body and it was the cheapest plastic I've seen. The packaging of the first and second was spotless so I know it was just crap. I'm trying to get the first one back but can't print or scan the label to get it.

It was broken when I got it, tried to deal with it but it's getting worse and literally falling apart. Time to look elsewhere. It's been a few months now and I thought my first review was okay: there is more gorilla tape on the case than on the original case. He fell from 2.5 to 3 feet and crashed. Too bad they chose better plastic. The electronics still work perfectly.

For $13 I can't really complain. From what I remember, the original Logitech remote was around $40 or $50 a few years ago. Despite this, as others have noted, the volume buttons get stuck. Pressing them on the edges instead of the whole button can help you avoid sticking. This is a minor inconvenience. The good thing is that while they do stick from time to time, sticking doesn't allow the tone to rise or fall after you set it.

Very similar size and feel to the original. The material quality is also almost identical. My original died and this is a great replacement for the price. The power button and most other buttons worked on my Z680, except for the three inputs (direct, optical, coaxial). My original only had one enter key, so I think it's just a minor incompatibility issue. Personally, it doesn't bother me too much, but others might. The first comment - it came with a cracked bottom and fell into pieces, no problem for me. quick 5 minutes and two part epoxy and after an hour everything was set to cure. The plastic is clearly not of good quality. But it manages my Logitech Z5500 perfectly! I have had this amazing sound system for over 12 years and have no complaints other than the original remote ended up badly rusted and the main control processor eventually failed. Attention buyers: My remote control arrived in good condition, but the small infrared transmitter that is supposed to send the signal from the remote control to the receiver was not where it should be. It was out of place, in the case of the console, pointing into the console rather than out for the recipient to retrieve.
