Five Star Utility. Four Star Quality.

The bend at the blade-handle junction was inconsistent from wrench to wrench. Some of them were bent at right angles to the handle; some were deflected several degrees. Works perfectly, but only four stars for workmanship.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Not sure

small and precise.

And a replacement set! I don't know how many times I couldn't find the right tool and had to buy another one. Only to find the original a week later doing other work. These are bee knees for adjusting valves in tight spaces (like a motorcycle engine), but they should work fine for car use too.

Pros
  • handy piece
Cons
  • old

Works perfectly! in tool kits

Just what I need to adjust the valves on my 2012 Yamaha V-Star. The tracks are small and narrow, making them perfect for getting into the very tight spaces of this bike. I abused the sensors by repeatedly clamping them in a vise with needle ends to keep them from falling into the engine. Withstood my bullying well. These sensors are an excellent solution for tight spaces.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Safety

Great dipsticks

I bought these for a 200cc Lifan (Chinese copy from Honda). Works great in tight spaces where I need to install a dipstick. I highly recommend them. I have several other probe sets. This is especially useful when you need a curved one. That's why I bought them. I've only used them once. It is possible for the rivets to fail. I just hope that doesn't happen with the dipstick in the engine.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Great price

The right tool for the job.

I tried to check valve clearance on my Suzuki S40 Boulevard using fan gauges with wider blades but they were too wide for the tight space. These MotionPro sensors are narrower and angled at approximately 30° to the fiber grip, providing a smoother "feel" when fine tuning. They're more expensive than a full stylus set, but it's worth setting them to "fine".

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Very expensive

Thin probe that does not wrinkle.

I had several sets of fan-shaped styli with thin blades (0.002 - 0.006) and they were handy, but had one fatal flaw - thin blades bent easily when folded for storage and crumpled thickness 0.004 not exactly . These calibers eliminate this deficiency by making the actual blade short and attaching it to a fiber handle. Because the blade is smaller, it is stronger than comparable blades, and the angle it attaches to the handle is perfect for adjusting valves. I'm definitely new to this blade…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
