The quality is ok just doesn't match the Honda Shadow 600

The quality can't be faulted but it just didn't work on my 2007 Honda Shadow 600. It has four plugs for two cylinders. The two plugs are relatively light, but two are set at an angle to the center of the cylinders. The length is ok, but even with the thin wall thickness, the socket doesn't come to the corner to get through the plugs. I even sanded to narrow down part of the socket thinking it might help. Some people say that buying a Deep Well 12 point Craftsmen head works and I decided to…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Nothing here

The bushing itself is decent quality and fits my '01 XR400R, but.

The little rubber insert that holds the plug in the socket during removal/installation is only good for one use before it comes out and stays on the plug. Which for my 2001 XR400R bike makes the socket permanently unusable as there is no way to a) remove the rubber grommet from the plug on the bike without removing the plug and then once the plug is unplugged again there is no way now to put it back into the bike to keep it from falling out of the socket and hitting the hole and knocking out…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Does what it should! FYI, if you're changing the plug in the TRX400EX, you'll need a very long, thin-walled jack like this one. Although a bit pricey, Motion Pro #08-0175, 18mm will get the job done. If you try this with the wrong socket, the plug will not be fully inserted. I found that whoever installed the plug earlier did not fully install the plug, it was at least 1/8 inch out of the hole for an unknown amount of time as the previous owner clearly did not have a suitable outlet. Luckily…

Pros
  • While satisfied
Cons
  • The list will be long.
