Of course it's not cheap, but it's not cheaply made either. Lid and air cylinder are really high quality and solid. I bled the brakes in no time without even asking for help. That alone is worth something to me. Also, just buy different breather caps for different cars or clutch cylinders.

Works great! After replacing the master cylinder on a '93 Miata, I literally spent hours trying manual bleeding with an assistant, vacuum bleeding, and gravity bleeding. Filled two liters of brake fluid, and the pedal is not pressed. In desperation I bought this pump tool and had a good pedal for pumping for the first time.

I've always been a fan of the two person bleed method, I couldn't get the same pedal feel with any air system. I decided to try motive pumping on my NA Miata race car and I'm glad I did. I can bleed the brakes myself half the time with the same if not better result. Highly recommended!

Miata NA was advertised but wrong brake fluid reservoir adapter came. You will have to deal with the manufacturer as they will tell you not to send it back to whoever sold it to you. This delay is now entering its second week. Now my car is on axles and cannot be used. Not good. Update: Three weeks later I received the correct part.

The problem of self-bleeding of the brakes has been solved. The only problem I had was user error. I didn't make sure the lid was screwed on properly. This led to a loss of pressure. Once the cap is properly on, apply the recommended pressure and begin the prep sequence. Success this time. I like it enough to buy a cap to match my other car. This makes a single person's task of stopping the bleeding much easier!

The picture shows the vent plus adapter for Miata. The adapter was not included. Just a bloodletting. When purchasing, there is nothing specific to the Miata. i will return it I suspect this is a bug, but it doesn't match what I bought. I've heard nothing but good things about this Motive product, but what I bought does not include the required adapter and therefore does not live up to my expectations.
