Great for '00 Laredo 4.7

On my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo the thermostat started leaking. I searched the internet for a reliable replacement and found this unit at a great price. Delivered quickly and installation was pretty easy. The unit has been running in my car for a few months now with no problems. Interestingly my radiator started leaking near the drain plug and I believe it has also reached the end of its life. Accordingly, I will replace all major components of the cooling system. I anticipate that the…

Incorrectly assembled and potentially dangerous

Looks like a good thermostat and reviews back it up. I received mine and was always ready to install. For some reason I compared it to what I pulled out. It looks a little different, but it's not scary. However, the one-way valve, which lets a small amount of coolant through when the engine is cold, was installed the wrong way round. Cheaply made others say fine not working

Bought to replace my original thermostat on my Jeep Commander 06 4.7L, the original thermostat was still in good condition but I have replaced the water pump , so I decided to replace the radiator pipes and thermostat. Compared to the original thermostat, the Motorad failsafe motor feels very cheap. The padding is thin and seems to stretch easily. The safety device inlet is ¼ inch smaller than the original. This may seem minor, but I believe it means less coolant flow, which can result in a…

Great Ram 1500 4.7L 2002 Replacement

Used on a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 4.7L and it fits perfectly. I tested the unit in boiling water on my stove before installing it to make sure it worked to avoid having to replace it again and catching all the new coolant. Not sure if the other reviewers are referring to the gasket but it looks as solid as the factory one I took out. The actual mechanism is a bit smaller, but that doesn't mean it doesn't allow for proper coolant flow. Time will tell how long it will last, but it was fine for my
