Misleading as to what the article really is.

The first one sent to me didn't have a safety lever. I contacted them and they told me to leave the first one. They sent me a second one and it still has no lever. Fits my car but is deceiving of the actual item. Don't bother with that again. my loss

Pros
  • Safety lever to relieve coolant pressure before removal
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Radiator Safety Scrap

It worked fine on my 2005 Tundra, but the entire cover fell apart on the first attempt to depressurize the cooling system. The problem is that the plastic lever is too weak. I felt like it was on the verge of breaking with minimal use. I tried opening a little more than the minimum and that was it. Don't buy this.

Pros
  • Easy to assemble and disassemble
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price

Ok I've been using this for 3 years. But shouldn't it take longer? The problem was that the coolant was leaking from the top of the tank. I didn't immediately identify the problem in the header. However, on closer inspection it turned out that the cap did not fit the hole exactly, although the washers look normal (thin, but normal). Anyway, bad cap, stay away.

Pros
  • 100% tested for correct pressure and durability
Cons
  • Upgrades

High performance, reasonable price.

If the cover can withstand full pressure, your car will cool down. My '95 Camry seems to run a few degrees cooler with the new radiator and this cap compared to the new radiator with the old cap. This is a handy feature that allows you to safely open a hot radiator when needed. With the right experience, of course. And finally, the big red lever under the hood looks cool! :)

Pros
  • Fit: Vehicle specific
Cons
  • Everything OK
