This is a genuine Ford/Motorcraft cap and it worked great! I used to buy what was supposed to be an OEM cap from another reputable auto parts store but it was too loose and looked like it. I tried to do it with as little material as possible. It fitted very loosely and slowly spilled the oil from the top of the engine under the cover.
