Not good for tires and wheels

Bought a kit for my 9 year old Ford Fusion. The batteries in the original sensors are just about dead. The local shop installed them and I was able to program them without any problems. Fast forward 3 months and one of them is dead.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Not bad but...

I bought it for Ford Explorer 2006

I bought these 3 products to complete the installation: a. Motorcraft TPMS3b Remote Tire Pressure Sensor. Dorman 974-040 Bandc Universal Tire Pressure Monitoring System replacement. Motorcraft TPMS19 remote tire pressure sensor for TPMS programming. I found installation instructions on YouTube. Big!

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Contact Seller

Exactly what it should have been

There were multiple supplier/purchase price options. My choice was a few dollars more expensive but still Prime. The seller had the highest number and quality of reviews. Supplied in factory sealed packaging with the latest date of manufacture. Happy with the purchase, shipped directly from a Ford dealership in another state. Two months and no problems so far. I had to buy a separate coding relearn tool to get the car system to accept the new codes, but that happens on a lot of Ford vehicles.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Nothing here

Expensive but they work on a 2007 Ford F150 FX2 RWD

I think $50 for one of these is a bit steep, but I installed it on a 2007 F150, followed the steps to start learn mode (see YouTube video for more info) and programmed it as soon as I did the Ford place TPMS Clicker on the tire. No problem finding it. I also bought a Dorman 974-040 to attach to the rebuilt rim I bought. Easy installation 180 degrees from the valve stem. The bad side is that now I know I need three more.

Pros
  • . Just amazing!
Cons
  • Some flaws

Very Old Stock Good for Tires and Wheels

Although these TPMS sensors have never been fitted to a vehicle and can be considered 'new', they were very old in time. Three of the four I bought were 10 years old when I bought them! Unlike some other batteries that have a 10-year shelf life, the lithium-ion batteries in these sensors begin to degrade the day they are manufactured, even when not in use. The packaging was also deceptive as it looked like a real Motrocraft. The gift is a statement "wrapped in 2017", not "manufactured in 2017".

Pros
  • Excellent Overall
Cons
  • Doubtful
