Old liquid? for oils and fluids

Hmmm. That is interesting. The product photo (MotorCraft Mercon V) shows an OLD bottle with a previous filling. They haven't produced this liquid since 2007. Since then, the new blend has been in a black bottle. How old is this gear oil? JD

Excellent price. - Transmission Oils

Complete oil and filter change on a 1997 Crown Vic. The car has low mileage - 49,000, closed at speeds of 26 and 45 miles per hour. The Motorcraft Mercon V factory solved the problem, now it shifts beautifully. I should have done this a long time ago. Great price for the cover, much cheaper than auto parts store or dealer.

Ford requires that you only use their transmission fluid in

Ford requires you to only use their gear oil in your gearboxes, I don't know if this is a marketing ploy or there is a good reason, anyway the price was a lot lower than what I was going to pay when trying would buy such a large amount locally.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Always use manufacturer's transmission oil

The first time I changed the transmission oil in my Ford pickup I used the Valvoline equivalent of this product. A few days later I noticed that the transmission started to shift heavily at low speeds. I just changed it again a few days ago and decided on the manufacturer's brand. This time I was able to drain 98 percent of the old fluid. The box switches like new again. Remember, this transmission fluid has been formulated according to the manufacturer's instructions for your Ford…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
