Premium Motorcycle Floorboards Foot Pegs: Honda VTX1300 VTX1800 Suzuki VL400 VL800 C50 Front/Passenger Pair Review

This item was listed as fitting my 2007 Suzuki Boulevard C90. I had to change a lot to make it work. I had to grind about 1/16" of the sides and weld on shims to make it work. You get what you pay for. They're about $50 per factor while the Cobra is over $200. Now I understand why .

Chrome looks good from above. The adapters had to be ground to fit on a bench grinder. The wedges with a standard hex wrench allowed the floorboards to pivot so I used an M8x 1.25 nut and bolt but tightened it and it worked. Some of it was false advertising but it worked anyway, only time will tell how long it lasts.

Very poor quality got these for the rear passenger seat to keep the old lady's boots out of the pipes as the exhaust on the right hand side is very close to the footpegs. To get them to work on my 2001 Honda vt1100c I had to drill a hole in the mounting pin that was larger to 5/16 and grind the rear one shorter so the holes lined up instead of for the average person himself to do!

I installed them on my 2002 VL800. They required some sanding to keep the pins straight. The pin itself had to be removed about 1/8 to 1/4 inch to allow the bottom plate to sit in place. In my opinion they are 100% better than pins. Also tried on my 2006 VTX1300 before sanding. bottom stuff on the pin and they fit perfectly. I need to get a second set.

After reading the reviews I realized what to do. A little sanding on the bench to get an eighth of an inch off, they fit perfectly. Yes, the boards are a little flimsy, but my bike weighs 98 pounds. Throw away the boats that come with it, go to a hardware store and buy some 8 1/4 inch and a half bolt and 8x125 bolts and you've got a nice set of floorboards that you can't buy them for. Price

As with some of the other reviews, the first thing that struck me was that the planks were very light and the chrome felt thin in places. I mounted it on the driver's side with no problems, then moved it to the passenger's side where the mounting bolt broke off. before it is strong enough to hold the plank in place. Only hand tools were used and when it fell off my hand flew under the bike and ripped my thumbnail out of the nail bed, not a happy tourist of course. The return for a refund has…

This product is terrible and let me tell you why. I bought it for a 2004 Suzuki VL800 Limited which is said to fit. It's not at all, and I had to slant it, so it wasn't even comfortable. Also, the screw underneath isn't tightened to keep the footrest in place even with a screwdriver. The footboard on the clutch side almost came off, causing me to fall. It was a great price. When they came here, I understood why. The item did NOT look as good as the picture. They were (warped in my opinion to be smaller for the passenger). They were the size of my regular floorboards and while they looked nice on top, the bottom was very cheap looking chrome. They don't even fold like the passenger footpegs and footboards.
