Honest buyer review

I have 2 sets of both. Terrible, it attaches to the bars with a single screw from the bracket because I can bend with pliers. Spend $10 more and get a big name brand! All in all, I have to say they don't look that bad!

  • Quality construction

  • Not sure

1985 XL600R Old School

Concerned about all the cords, wires and phone mounts on an old bike. Lever on the left side Also like the front brake reservoir guard. Nice gesture.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Having trouble

The guards seem strong. Attachments, not very good

I already attached them in May. I rode my dual athlete on trails and roads. I've been there 7-10 times in total. Lost one of the fastening screws early (perhaps after the 3rd ride). I had to replace it with a screw and anchor. This morning another screw came out of another fuse. The guards themselves seem relatively sturdy, but what good are they if they don't attach to the handlebars? Maybe I'll use Tusk next time.

Caused a sticky gas accident

I put them on my son's new off-road bike to protect the levers when I put them on. I noticed before that the throttle was sticking, 2022 model with less than an hour on this unfortunately I just said to be careful the throttle is sticking now which may or may not be related to those bar end mounted guards but the throttle didn't get stuck, before the bar and guards were installed. It crashed and the guards flipped up, potentially damaging the levers. They are great for blocking small branches…

Stock Worked Honda CRF250L 2014

Pros. My other guards didn't adjust as much and we fiddled with my cables and pushed the levers. They could be better positioned and come out far enough not to hit my levers. The metal spacers were perfect for the bar ends. minuses. The inner bracket design has sharp corners, especially when the screws are tightened, they stick out, so I have to cut them off for safety. Also, the part that goes into the end of the rod doesn't have the correct recess to fit on the sheath. You can see in my…

Moderate quality, very good price.

They fit nicely on the KLR 650 (pictured) and are transparent around the master cylinder and throttle cables. They offer slightly less hand protection than the slightly more expensive JFG Racing guards, which I also bought on another KLR as the plastic guards are smaller, but they protect the levers and throttle if the bike falls. They're not as good as the more expensive brands, but for the low $20 price point, this is very good value. Two things that could be improved: (1) The "universal"…
