Description of Motorized Stainless Electrical U S Solid

SAFE AND RELIABLE- The valve body is made of SS304 steel, with NSF certification, this ball valve is safe for drinking water; Lifespan is 80,000-100,000 cycles. NPT THREADING- 1⁄2" Stainless steel threading, manufactured and measured according to National Pipe Thread standards; This electrical ball valve is full port, meaning the bore in the ball is a full 1⁄2”; This minimizes pressure loss through the valve; Perfect for home automation projects. 9V-24V AC/DC- Works effectively over entire voltage range; Will open or close valve in 3-5 seconds; No power expended once fully open or fully closed. 3 WIRE, 2 POINT CONTROL SETUP- Simple three wire connection, with two points of control; No energy expended once in position. ALTERNATIVE TO SOLENOID VALVES- Automatically cuts off power once fully open or fully closed; This reduces likelihood of overheating, making it a great alternative to solenoid valves for projects where a valve needs to be open for an extended period of time.

Excellent customer service!

I don't write many reviews anymore but the customer service I have received is remarkable. I installed this valve on my pickup truck's built-in reserve tank. Everything went well on the first run. On the second refueling it would not shut down and overflowed the main tank. Luckily I had a built in manual valve to stop the flow. I could hear the engine running as I flipped the switch back and forth, so I assumed the engine had somehow become disconnected from the valve. Since almost eight months

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Available in white only

It would be better if there was a full size valve

I haven't wired the valve up yet but it looks well built. Valves come in many configurations depending on how they work, making it easy to find one that works the way you want it to. Only downside is these are not full size valves, IOW they have limitations. I use this as a water heater shutdown if a leak is detected. I build my own system for this as the retail shutdown systems are overpriced compared to what they offer you and I can build my own for about 1/3 the price. The downside was that…

Pros
  • valves
Cons
  • small things

Closing time is 3.5s at 13.8V, 7s at 7V, 5s at 9V and about 3.5 seconds over 10V (tested to 15 AT only). I am running a PWM on the yellow wire to slow it down by a 10 second closing time using a microcontroller driving a system with two of these valves. Prevents sudden pressure surges from damaging the reverse osmosis membrane and other filters. Also used for automatic flushing of the membrane for the same reason, without sudden impacts/water hammer on sensitive materials and the entire plastic

  • Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Plumbing
Cons
  • Unsafe
