later, this worked great on my 2013 Dodge Caravan. My initial problem was that I didn't turn the key to the work position (when the engine light is on) but only to the first position when the odometer came on. Once I turned the key to the correct position, everything worked as advertised. I got the key from the local hardware store for so cheap.

After about 3 years of not using my Ram 1500's remote door open/close function and only unlocking with the spare key the entire time, after trying lots to have other cheaper options solutions (replacing removed internal components with a different outer case, replacing the main window switch, etc.) stumbled across this unit and WOW! Everything worked as desired, easy to program. A little pricey but worth getting this feature back on my truck.

Out of service. Wait for customer service to open for technical support. To update. Dorman said it was defective and I am sending it back. Another update. The second arrived and in the end I was able to program 2 new keys. The instructions didn't work for me. I had to plug in the programmer before turning on the ignition with the programmed key, not after. 3 stars due to incorrect instructions, lack of tech support and needing two to get the job done.

Bought for my 2012 Ram1500, key fobs stopped working. Had to use the key to open the door which is a pain in the butt. The instructions were easy to follow and I was able to easily program the key fob that came with it, as well as another key fob I bought from Revain. The retailer charged at least $250 for a key fob and the programming. In the instructions, the LED did not blink as the instructions say, instead there was a beep.

I don't usually write reviews but I had to for this product. This item was 100% value for money. I only had one key for my 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan and the dealership charged over $500 to program a new one. Ace hardware required $170+. I spent more time opening the box than using this thing to program my key. I bought a couple more keychains to replace the old one we have and to have a backup. If this product fits your model and you need to make a second key, please buy it.

Defect. I tried following the instructions. Nothing. Replaced both old and new batteries. Nothing. The door is open. the door is closed. Nothing. went to the support chat. "Chris" came over to chat with me. Explained everything he did. He answered. "If you have the TPMs light on, it's in the way because they both have the same signal" and quickly disappeared, not saying another word. I am an ASE master.
