I bought this as I just switched to a full touring bike. I originally had a handlebar mount and liked it, but with the new bike that spot blocked a couple of sensors. I was looking for another major perch mount manufacturer when I came across this one. For the price I had to try it. LOVE IT! Although the box label says 'Made in USA' there is a slide on the card that says they are made abroad. the quality has dropped significantly. They are much lighter than the ones I've bought before and have a rougher finish. Sharper edges, there are rubber artifacts on the ball, the screws don't turn cleanly (actually I had to put them through a die to clean the threads before screwing them in). I know manufacturing in the US can be tricky if you want to match the price and how much we focus too

Includes three pairs of mounting screws of different lengths. NONE worked for my application (BMW). The screw size was correct, but the threads were the wrong pitch. Luckily at least one hardware store had screws of the right length and pitch. Therefore, always finger-tighten the bolts rather than banging on the wrench on the first try. Fits well and seems solid after going to the hardware store and buying some stainless steel washers and galvanized steel bushings that are the right size. I used 1/2" LX 1/4" ID steel bushings secured with #12 stainless steel washers that I placed under the lock washer on the bolt head and on the other side of the bracket body so the steel bushing was pressing against it.
