Great Pack is the best in travel backpacks

Bought this backpack for a land trip to Alaska. The backpack weighed 28 pounds fully loaded with three days' gear and was fairly comfortable after hiking five miles. All in all a great package. The detachable top was great for short hikes. Unfortunately, the lid is not included and costs an additional $20.

Pros
  • Diagonal ski carrier. Snowboard carrier in front.
Cons
  • Not as good as advertised

Great backpack for short weekend trips or hostel trips

I took this backpack for a weekend trip, everything is fine. Features - everything you could want. Very thoughtful design. I would say this pack is great for weekend getaways or dorms. However, for loads over 45 pounds, I would argue that the lap belt design is insufficient to distribute the weight effectively. Also, this package has everything you need.

Pros
  • Vertical zip for quick access to main compartment.
Cons
  • There are flaws

Great package with many features.

My son needs a boy scout backpack. I saw a large model from this series in the store when I found this set for sale. The size is perfect for a young man and will change as he grows. That's a big plus for my book. He particularly liked the removable cover that can be used as a daypack. This pack is all about versatility. Straps can be adjusted for a variety of binding configurations from ski to snow shovel and everything in between. The construction makes a very solid impression. The only reason

Pros
  • Sleeping bag compartment with interior dividers.
Cons
  • Annoying

Great bag! - Camping

Bought this bag for a 5 day hike and it's holding up great. I have since taken it on several hikes and a trip to Ireland (10 days). I've ridden it for over 500 km and it never got uncomfortable. I got lucky and bought it once for $80. It costs twice as much. I like the adjustable straps so my brother can use them too. He's a lot taller than me. Another favorite of mine is the divider that can be installed or removed to separate the bottom of the bag from the top. I use it for groceries and…

Pros
  • Attachment points for top plate.
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Great value - great backpack

Bought this for my boyfriend to take him on his first "climbing trip" (traveler) in Central America. I used to have a Mountainsmith and loved them so I bought them at a bargain price of about $90 and bought myself a Juniper 55. Both bags were great. It fitted well, accommodating him at 6ft 5in with about an inch or so of room for expansion. He liked its fit and balance, and I envied its shoulder and waist straps, which were padded without being bulky or bulky. (I may change mine when I head to…

Pros
  • Detachable SlingShot top converts to a waist pack or shoulder strap.
Cons
  • Some cons
