My suggestion is to follow the instructions in the letter and pay close attention to the correct size drill bit for the pilot holes when installing in wall studs or similar. This is my third mobile wall mount and by far my favorite. Here's why: On my other two mounts, the top and bottom holes for attaching the main screws to the wall are too close to the TV mount's pivot points. You can't use a socket wrench, you need to use a hand wrench to drive in long screws with difficulty. But not with this mount. In comparison, it really was a Montage dream.
