Better done but no volume control

I have another item that has a volume control but it fell apart during use and had to figure out how to put it back together during use. To put it mildly, if you keep an eye on your input, you won't suffer from the fact that your level can cause severe distortion and clipping.

Looks like the photo and works better

PRO: Works. I used a MOVO Lav microphone connected to the microphone. I checked it and when I did I had to run it through a different adapter to match my USB-C port on my DELL 13 inch laptop. The device will mute your speakers so make sure you don't log in with headphones Install the speakers separately on your laptop for it to work CONS: not noted, I'd like the same ones in the Microsoft C variant so I no need to lay an adapter cable to my laptop.
