I purchased this with a Char-Broil Vertical Smoker to replace the non-vented charcoal tray (bowl) that comes with the smoker. It fits perfectly in the slot that the original shell fits and offers much better airflow than the original canister. Although this may not be the intended use for this product, it does fit a smoker.
