☕ Enhanced Water Filter for Mr. Coffee Replacement Coffee Maker Review

I ordered this water filter thinking it would have the design of the original filter stand that came with my Mr. Coffee. The original came with a filter that fit between the two-piece housing. The housing is now one piece and the filter slides unsupported along the center bottom causing the filter to sag after a few uses. I love the car but this hook is driving me crazy enough to switch to a different coffee maker.

I don't know why others are complaining about sagging or wrong filters etc etc I can feel the difference in the taste and smell of coffee and tea. I can really smell Earl Gray and the coffee I'm brewing in my pot and it tastes great! The picture shows the top of the device, so it's not sand. I received an actual Mr. coffee filter holder when it arrived and it fits perfectly, no sagging and works like a charm. Not impressed with how this supposedly removes the taste of chlorine from the water. I have used a polyurethane water jug for many years and also make coffee with it. This filter Mr. Coffee is not even on the same level! If I only used a coffee filter, my coffee taste would still be worse than using water from a PUR jug from the fridge. The ONLY good thing I can say about this filter is that it slows down the brew cycle a bit and thereby helps prevent the coffee from spilling in the brew basket
