Don't waste your time

Shifter won't engage, adjusted many times, not properly adjusted, installed another shifter after about five minutes, struggled with it for a couple of hours, not quite my cup of tea, my opinion is bullshit

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Weight

This product is flimsy and not as advertised

Tried 4 hours to install the linkage, had to change it because the links are short. Then you realize that this item will not work in any way, since the bracket that connects the linkage to the switch assembly is severely bent. Also, you have to figure out that you can't move a lever that moves up and down with a rod that moves horizontally. Basically, this product is cheaply made and not worth the money.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • No instructions

Don't waste time

The switch does not block the transmission, set many times, not set correctly, installed another switch in about five minutes I struggled with it for a couple of hours, not quite my thing. My opinion is bullshit

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I really don't like anything about it, everything is fine

Template holes do not match product

I'm not sure what the heck is up with their instructions. The supplied mounting hole template does not match the mounting brackets. So I drilled four holes and had to cut holes to make it fit. Lots of details but vague instructions. Not finished yet, I see the challenge ahead.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Doubtful

Should have done when I first got this car!

This floor switch is just what I needed. I wanted to install a direct coupled footswitch to fix problems with the late 90's Explorer gear lever/cable system. They waited and waited and cursed when the regular cable didn't perform as expected. Enter the universal floor switch Mr. Seal. All the work took about half a day. I should have done that many years ago. I like it. What I did not like. The instructions provided a template for cutting and making holes. The dimensions drawn did NOT match the

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

  • Some flaws
