Very useful as an icebreaker at a party where you don't know anyone. The light it emits and the volume of the sound also helped. It attracted people who wanted to try and have fun. It also became a hit for first-time trick-or-treating fans that year. Some of them were creepy and laughed as they ran away and then came back to ask more questions. Next time I'll set a limit of one question so the kids don't have to wait at the door for a while. It was fun and so far we've all enjoyed it.

I remember an old Magic 8 ball that was good for its time. My grandson laughed as he asked questions. And the fact that you have to put your hand on him before he answers made it that much more fun. Like real magic. ha ha. And the colors it transforms are bright. Looks really cute sitting on the coffee table and will be great entertainment when the kids come over. It has been played repeatedly over the past few days. It's way better than the old school Magic 8 Ball. But I have 2 complaints. 1) not everything is so random. He gets into a rut when answering "yes" to consecutive questions. Then move to "no” and repeat for the next few questions. Because we never wanted to stop playing with toys, we bought this updated version of the old "Magic 8 Ball" from our youth. This one is special because it lights up and loudly answers your questions in an authoritative but friendly male voice.
