I thought they were very smooth and gel like, no they are like regular crayons in a tube. To me they all smell the same, I can't smell much of a difference other than bubble gum. I was also wondering why they have crayons that smell like stinky cheese, yuck! When I first open the package the smell is very strong but when I color them one by one I don't catch the smells they should be, they all smell the same (except chewing gum). I wouldn't buy them again but I love the roll up feature of these

My kids and I loved these crayons! They don't color as evenly as regular crayons, but they smell nice. Some colors are barely audible and some are stronger. But in any case, coloring is just more fun for children aged 8, 6 and 2 years. We don't do big art projects, we paint specifically to have fun with scents.
