🍳 MSC Slicey Joie Egg Slicer Review

I read the other reviews before ordering and while I don't feel like it's as bad as some people make it out to be, it is not very good . The wires start to loosen after a few uses and eventually you have trouble aligning them when you cut them, causing chaos. I wouldn't buy it again, tbh.

Pretty but useless. Less than a dozen eggs that are less than a month old have had the wire come loose! Not worth sending back - so they sorted it out; It's just a wire wrapped around a plastic rod - the problem is that there are NO anchors on either end - it's just wrapped around itself / sure to come undone in a jiffy. Recycling required. Do not buy!

One of these has been needed for years - this food slicer is so much better than expected! It cuts eggs cleanly, easily, completely and flawlessly, and I've used it on strawberries too. I'm sure it can be used for mushrooms, avocados and other soft foods. It's easy to clean and so cute. :-) It's a pleasure to use and start a conversation when guests see me using it. Highly recommended and very good value for money.

**Update. Now I've only used the slicer 3 times on eggs. In the morning the wiring was broken again. I would not recommend this product. **Bought this solely for hard boiled eggs but was impressed with the thought of using it for strawberries. The very first strawberry I tried broke one of the wires. I got a new one for free and found that the second time I cut a hard boiled egg the wires don't catch the track and bend easily.
