Description of πŸ”Œ MSD 35599 Red 8.5mm Super Conductor Spark Plug Wire Set - Enhanced Performance and Reliable Connection

Copper alloy conductor has a resistance value of less than 50 ohms per foot for superior spark. Ferro-magnetic impregnated core creates an effective EMI choke. Forty feet of conductor is wound into a single foot of wire for high EMI suppression; Conductor core features DuPont Kevlar material for increased tensile strength. Durable outer sleeve is a proprietary compound for resistance to high heat or abrasion. Stainless steel terminals feature dual crimp tabs to grip wire conductor and outer jacket separately.

Works well on Pontiac Works well on ignition parts

Works well on HEI manifold in Pontiac 350. Haven't had any complaints yet, although it's probably overkill for a standard '71 Pontiac 350 with no mods is as HEI.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Doubtful

Not for 5.8 Ford TFI

The kit does not fit my 1993 Bronco 5.8 TFI despite claims that it does. The engine requires 45 degree spark plug boots. The 90 degree boots are located near the exhaust manifold. The coil wire is about 6 inches short.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

I installed them on a 1985 Camaro 305 MPFI. .

I installed it on a 1985 Camaro 305 MPFI. These plugs provided an even smoother idle curve. The identification clips provided for each cable have been added to help identify the cylinder to which the cables are connected.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons

They work. And they look good

Out of the box some of the wires were a bit long and needed to be rerouted. The only real issue was that the main wire going from the cap to the spool was wrong so I had to flip them and crimp the end a bit but overall it looks good and I'm happy with it.

Pros
  • Quality build
Cons
  • Socket required

Not for 1974 Corvette

Filter shows part number: 35599 fits behind/under the header on a 1974 Corvette but is too short to follow the intended path with OE heat shields/routing. If you're working on something else, it might not slow down your project, but it does add an extra day or two while I search and then wait for the correct wires to appear.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • old

Where has my strength gone?

Had a set of Taylor brand cables for the car. I drive a dirty latest model. The spark plugs we use on our small block Chevy are Autolite 303. We took the car out to pack the track and hot lap. It worked well, and then all of a sudden it started working badly. This season I've gone off the track three times because of THIS issue. The problem is that our cables got disconnected! The rubber boot on Taylor's wires was too tight. This, combined with engine vibration in our late model skidding around

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
