I bought this specifically for XS hair donuts because my 3 year old daughter needs a ballet bun for her dance performance and she is very short Hair. The smallest size is PERFECT. It's about the size of the mini donuts you buy at the grocery store. The medium size is about the size of my palm and the larger is slightly larger. Where have you been all my life? I used them to do my daughter's hair for a dance night. It was too easy. I used medium for my 6 year old and small for my 2 year old. Gather the ponytail and then pull it over the ponytail. After that, it's easiest to style your hair fairly evenly over it and then add another ponytail over it to hold it up.
