A few notes.1. If you're buying your first safety razor, this isn't the one you want. Start with R89.2. This is not an R41 Grande, so the grip is shorter than usual. I was hesitant to buy this razor after reading the reviews but now that I have bought it and used it for a month I would recommend it to anyone experienced in shaving with a safety razor . I had no cuts at all, even with Feather blades. But while this razor gives you an easy and incredibly close shave, treat it with respect. This is not for suckers. Have been using Muhle R89 and Merkur 34C HD closed comb safety razors for about 2 months. Similar heads. Both are excellent.
