These filters are a bit thicker and seem to last longer than the originals and are cheaper. I didn't use a fixation strap (thick rubber band) because I already have the plastic ring that came with the vacuum cleaner. When I use this filter on my 2.5 gallon wall mounted vacuum, it fits just fine.

Clogs easily. These are very thick filters. I didn't subject them to a blatant sawdust suction test to test their functionality. I have experienced limited basic usage and a significant drop in suction power from my industrial vacuum cleaner. Of course, despite the very good reviews, I will not buy them again.

Expected to have to cut them down to fit my old and trusted ShopVac 500X. I was pleasantly surprised that they fit perfectly without cutting. A rubber band is an option if you lost your original filter holder, I think, but I haven't used it. So if you have an old 500x it should work - unless I have an odd batch of course.

These are good vacuum filters. I use these filters along with a reusable foam filter in my 20 year old 1HP/1Gal. Vac Shop (model 500x). The filters fit and work great. A set of 3 is also very practical. FYI, this is the same branded filter that the big Orange Box Store sells for their Ridgid vacuums, but they're a lot cheaper if you buy them here at Revain.

Perfect. Perfect fit for my shop vacuum, easy to attach and filters contents well. I tried a Pinterest DIY idea with a stocking. What a TERRIBLE idea. All it did was blow the excess unfiltered air back into the room. This option seemed like a great value - why was I so cheap - and the 3 should last a long time. Some things you want to do yourself and save money, this is not one of them.

Based on negative reviews I wasn't sure if they would fit my 12 gallon vacuum (bought from Costco about 30 years ago). The fit was perfect! Filter diameter 18 inches. The circle printed in the center is 6 inches in diameter. If your foam filter is 6″ in diameter and 5.75″ in height, it should fit with some headroom (maybe it will fit too if the center is a bit larger than mine). My vacuum comes with a hard plastic ring, so the rubber band that came with it was not needed in my case.

I gave these filters one star because they actually fit my 2.5 gallon Shop-Vac, but that's where the brand name comparison ends. The photos show how "well" they hold up in a bucket of water after rinsing - they don't. They immediately developed thin translucent patches and I'm expecting another flush or two and they fall apart completely.
