Great alternative to buying Prima watercolors

Good painting set for beginners. The same colors are used in the very popular Prima Watercolor candy sets. The Mungyo 48 Set includes all colors from the Classics, Tropicals and Decadent Pies Prima sets (plus 12 additional colors from several other sets). Buying this Mungyo set is cheaper than buying the Prima sets separately if you are interested in these 3 sets above.

  • Pleasant to use

  • Embarrassing

Similar to Art Philosophy but cheaper

Very similar in quality to Prima Art Philosophy. Both products are made in Korea and almost made me believe they were the same product. I have most pastry primers and this watercolor wasn't a very good buy. Felt like I bought the same colors again. However, if I had to choose between the Prima Art philosophy and this one, I would choose this one based on the price. Cheaper and same quality. If you want professional quality, look for the best.

Great value set of primary colors and some great secondary colors

Good basics in this set; Colors are bright and bold with lots of pigment; I received two halves of Prussian blue, so I replaced one in a can with cobalt green onions; Metallics—copper, gold, silver, and pearly white—are strong and tough; I have several sets from other brands - Prima, Mission Gold, Lukas, etc. Each brand of paint has its own characteristics and uses. Love this set for the entire collection of base colors including additional other colors all very pigmented - in one jar. Tin - I…

Great sentence! for arts, painting and craft supplies

This is great, I studied it carefully before buying it. I'm a big fan of Kuretake's Gansai Tambi watercolors (which aren't considered watercolors) so I wanted a set of western clear watercolors, my top choices were Winsor and Newton Cotman and I also looked at Phoenix (same price as Mungyo). but instead I chose Mungyo and I'm surprised I don't regret my decision. I also received the Holbein watercolors after purchasing this set because I also wanted to try the artist set, but let me tell you…

Comparable to top brands

To be honest they are pretty good. I would say I see no difference between these sets and the Windsor and Newton Cotman watercolor sets (not sure if that's the correct spelling). Except this one has a lower price and adds a ton more colors. I tend to paint big, so it's hard to find a good watercolor that doesn't give a lot of rough streaks/color overlays and looks fairly smooth as long as you don't let it dry too long (which I admit I did). . accidentally several times). The colors are very…

Very good starter set with great colors but not a pro set

Very good watercolor for beginners Not at a pro level but I really like and enjoy working with this watercolor set. The price is reasonable if you are just starting out. my favorite colors are green and pink but i don't like burnt sienna (row 3 number 12) it's boring for me! this mungyo set, especially the french gray, is one of my favorite colors (i put a daffodil on it so you can see the gray) because the price is very reasonable and the quality is very good. It's definitely worth looking…

Five stars for this tight-lipped creative!

I do a lot of research before I buy anything and choosing watercolors is no exception. I was looking for a quality brand with a professional palette in a minimalist design that contained at least 24 palettes in colors that we know are bright, bold shades and priced under $100. In other words, I had very high expectations and minimal search results that met them. Then I came across the Mungyo Palette! From what I was able to determine from my research, everything has been verified except for a…

Complete newbie here - good starting price but some issues

I received this - my first watercolor set since Crayola - last week. I use them daily and attend tutorials, paint, practice smudging with different brushes etc. I have used them with appropriate 140#/300g cold pressed paper, medium paper and lighter sketch paper. The color selection is awesome, although I just mix like Crayola I can recommend other beginners to start with a little less than 48 colors. If I had to do it all over again I would buy a nice classic 12 color set. These colors are…
