WOW great performance at a low price!

Got one of these for my Plex server's main drive. I made a 250GB version for $41. And I couldn't be happier! These results are A320 MB with Ryzen 1700, 16 GB RAM. The numbers are just like they said, Mushkin, Mushkin, you did it again! Good product.

  • Hands-free

3 dead Mushkins of 1TB for 1 month. no longer.

I own a computer shop and have been selling Mushkins for about 2 years. So far they have been ok and at a good price. But in the last month I've had 3 x 1TB stamps within a few days of installing them, they worked fine for a few days and then didn't show up again. Mushkin is ready.

Good M.2 SSD: Internal SSDs

Purchased to replace the boot drive in an Intel NUC 5i5. The NUC BIOS didn't recognize it. A little disappointed. I installed it in an aluminum M.2 NVME SSD enclosure and got decent read and write speeds when connected to a USB 3.1 port. Speed is limited by the chassis controller, so an SSD might double or triple the results. I will check later.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Bad impression

Good upgrade for 2010 Mac Pro

Upgraded my 2010 Mac Pro to Mojave. With a $10 million NVME to PCI Express card, I was able to use it as a boot disk for my 9 year old computer. According to the Black Magic speed test, I got over 1500,000 reads, with the SATA SSD 300 and with the WD Black 136. The fastest SSD isn't necessary since the PCIE bus on the Mac Pro is only 2.0, but it is so still great.

Inexpensive upgrade from old Gigabyte Z97-D3H motherboard

Connected, secured with a screw (not included) and cloned an old SSD using publicly available free cloning software. Much faster than the replaced SSD. I added a copper chipset cooler on the controller chip on top of the drive. I ordered and installed the 1 TB version. So far, so good. Would give "Easy to Install" 5 stars if it came with a screw and if there was free cloning software on the manufacturer's website. I will add the rating to the annual stamp. Longevity remains unknown.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • I'll add later

Extremely fast! in internal SSDs

I bought this for a computer built about 3-4 years ago that used a 120GB SATA SSD boot drive that was almost full due to OS bloat . My MSI motherboard didn't really tell me if it saw the drive or not since it uses a PCI interface and not traditional sata. (Perhaps this is because the PCI interface is relatively new and will likely be easier to identify in the future). However, on a clean install of Windows, the drive was recognized and my boot times are amazing! A few seconds after hitting the…
