More than an entry-level phono stage.

Great phono stage! When used with the Nagaoka MP-150 it sounded amazing. Good visualization, good dynamics, never garish or garish. More than just a "starter" phono stage - highly recommend with a Pioneer 1000 turntable and the aforementioned cartridge for an audiophile setup that sounds amazing for around 1k (unconnected).

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Great phono preamp

Was looking for a good phono preamp for my newly purchased Project Debut Carbon turntable. Very happy with the quality. As far as I can tell, the output is very clean, with no hum or coloration in the music. Purchased this and the turntable from Audio Advisor which I highly recommend. Came well packaged with lots of blisters/pads which I appreciated.

  • Best
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Better than most built in preamps but twice the price of another one that sounds even better and has more settings so I had to go back. I speak of Shiite Mani. I'm not claiming, in my opinion the V90-LPS lacks image, soundstage, mids and highs compared to Mani. It also makes a loud popping sound every time you flip the power button. The two things I liked the most about the V90-LPS were the derailleur and the amazingly professional look of the unit. I would have kept it, even for twice the…

Amazing details, huge soundstage, great price!

I bought this to see if it would be an improvement over the Adcom GTP-400's phono stage. Night and day. Wider soundstage, deeper bass, more detail than before. I'm done with The GFP-565 has one of the best built-in phono stages in its price range. While the 565 is a definite improvement over the GTP-400, it's still not as good as the V90-lps. I couldn't be happier with the performance and price. I know there are better phono preamps out there, but they're out of my price range. I highly…

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Not the best

I first ordered it from Revain "Express Music Instruments". My order never arrived (terrible delivery service from this seller). After a long phone call to Revain support I got my money back. A few days later, I saw that my local hi-fi store was selling the same product at an even better price (and no shipping), so I bought it there. Aside from the initial buying experience, my review is dedicated to this phono stage. Simply put, it's the perfect combination of my Pro-ject RPM1 Carbon (with…
