I don't know how, but it works for me, although it exceeds the maximum length

The maximum length of USB3 is said to be 3m, that's why active cables have built-in repeaters. This cable is 15m long, so it has a repeater on one end and there must be 4 more every 3m. But it only has 1 repeater in the middle, that's 7.5m per repeater. The description says there are 2, which I think is technically correct, but I'm not sure how reliable that would be. I haven't had any problems so far and the cable is very heavy so maybe it depends on a really good shield. Also, I use itโ€ฆ

Great for astronomy

I use this 32ft USB cable along with a USB 3.0 hub to connect my telescope mount, auto focus and astro camera to my laptop. Control is smooth and images flow, just like connecting directly to a camera without a hub or extender. Very happy with my purchase.

A bit fragile and won't work with Logitech StreamCam

The first one I bought fell apart when unwrapping the cable. The strain reliefs are designed so that applying any torque to the cable can open the built in amplifier module in the middle of the cable. I sent it back and got another one that didn't fall apart this time. The cable is ideal for USB 2.0 devices such as keyboards, mice and headphone amps. However, when I plug the Logitech StreamCam directly into the cable (using only the USB-CA adapter), it is recognized as a 5000Mbps (SuperSpeed)โ€ฆ

It just works when you need it

I needed to move my tower from behind my desk to a server rack in a closet. Why are computers scattered everywhere when they can be collected? I was distracted. To do this, I needed a USB hub on my desktop for my keyboard, mouse, microphone, Focusrite USB audio interface, and other things. This was going to be connected to my rack PC, which required climbing up the wall, ceiling and back into the server closet, which required at least 29 feet with no sag. The 35ft was perfect but this 50ft wasโ€ฆ
