This item looks bigger and better in the ad but when you get it it smells strong and when you move it around to make it ring it just jingles. Plus, they want you to attach them to your dog's collar with a little key ring! They have an odor and cannot be easily removed and installed! But do this paragraph!

It's hard to believe finding cat bells you can actually hear would be a problem, but it was. These bells are exactly as advertised. I thought I would have to use 2 to hear them but 1 does the job. Disappointed with these calls. They were advertised as noisy which is what we need because we have a stray cat that we adopted that is trying to rush to the door. They are even quieter than the ones we bought at the pet store. :( The "loudest" part of the name is misleading as it's one of the quietest bells we found in our search. :( I don't recommend it if you have a situation like ours where You must hear a cat Important moments. :(

Some bells are made out of solid metal instead of holes to put the ring through. But the most important thing is that your cat's claws can get caught in the rings when they scratch because they are too big. My big kitten just fell off our deck rail because his rear claw got caught in a ring. We saw it happen but couldn't get out fast enough to stop it falling. He is fine but his claw was still stuck when we got to him and I don't know if his clamp would have saved this problem without our help.

If you are interested in these bells as an accessory for your cat, they look cute. I wouldn't rate them highly even if that were my goal as the color coating scratches or rubs off easily leaving a dull metallic look after just a week of wear.
