Contrary to the product description, this detector bracket does not fit the Escort 9500ix. The tab is too thick. I was initially impressed with how durable it looked, but it seems that the thickness that made it strong also made it unsuitable.

The mount is easy to install and versatile. I modified the tab that fits into the detector so I can move it further forward toward the windshield. It tends to wear off after a few days of sunshine. Either the heat or the sunlight itself will cause it to weaken. I assume this only lasts for the first few weeks until the plastic no longer compresses.

Was a little tricky installing on/around my rearview mirror mount with rubber sheeting to prevent sideways movement. The base/arm holding the radar itself works well when/when driving on a flat road BUT when the road is in bad condition the radar tilts or rotates where it's useless. I'll try some rubber pieces in the attack ball mount and see if that fixes the problem.

I installed it on a 2018 Honda CRV. The product has too much play which is why my radar detector has a slight but noticeable wobble. Not easy to install but very doable. Installation took about 45 minutes but it really depends on where your rear view mirror is and how accessible it is. Also, the detector barely fits under my rear view, leaving enough room for the detector to be easily removed. I'm sick of my detector constantly falling off the windshield, it comes with a silicone strip that grips the rearview mirror mount and holds the assembly in place. Small hardware was an issue with installation (small nuts and bolts were difficult to align at an awkward angle behind the mirror, good luck finding them if they fall off) but once tightened it's much better than a suction cup mount.

It was originally intended to be used in my Audi A1, unfortunately it didn't fit properly as there is very little space for behind the mirror rear view, so I had to look elsewhere and ended up buying it elsewhere.
