This basket is the perfect size and shape for CDs. The basket is lightweight and fits the top of my stereo. I have hundreds of CDs but wanted to leave a few off the deck. The wire mesh makes the basket subtle but functional. I love it. I thought of something and here it is.

I actually use them for general purpose storage in my kitchen. They simply fit on a cupboard shelf when the doors are closed. They hold loose items like coffee filters and beverage bags well. I don't have room for a spice rack so I can fit everything in a drawer without knocking anything over or stuffing it in the back. Also, they're mesh so I can see what's inside. I am sure that they are suitable for optical media.

I like the size and weight. They are strong enough to last for many years. You can easily read the disc labels from the top. The only thing that would improve the product would be if they were a bit taller so they could be stacked. Of course they sit on top of each other, but there are no grooves for each additional box to fit. I could buy plastic boxes at Walmart to do the same thing for less than $4 each, but they're not that attractive. They will not fit oversized digipak CDs you may have in
