I have a small hackamore with a small hole for attaching a chain. My horse has a very small narrow head and looked awful with so much extra chain and I wanted to replace it with a leather curb strap. The fact is, only something that has a small hook or clip can attach to the hackamore itself. That's why I bought it and a narrower leather curb bit that I adapted to my horse.
