Worked well for setting up my antenna

I set up two antennas for my transmitter. Once with this device and once with the RSSI function of the receiver. The analyzer tuned the antenna about 10% shorter than the RSSI method. This was due to two additional antennas in series. As a result, the antenna tuned to the analyzer had a slightly greater range. I'm glad I bought this.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Not sure

This device is not reliable.

I have had this unit for about a year and have not used it much. I used it from time to time, maybe once a month. Now it just throws some random noises on the display. I've gone through the calibration process several times and it says OK, but the problem is still there. The data is just a bunch of noise. I can't find any contact with the factory service. Can someone help?

  • Good product for the price

  • Some cons

It's very nice to be able to inspect and see the antenna.

Used a few times to analyze some antennas. It's very nice to be able to scroll the antenna and see its resistance and reflection. I think some tweaks could be made, like being able to see reflection and resistance at the same time and being able to switch between preset frequencies instead of having to constantly adjust the bass and treble, but for what this thing is and for the price, a real one handy little device to put in your pocket!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • So far so good

Surprisingly accurate, the generator is very stable.

For a compact impedance analyzer, the measurement accuracy at frequencies up to 1300 MHz is comparable to "professional" instruments. I use it and analyzers love it to design, build and test a finished antenna (system). Also good for circuit analysis. Generator output on time after 20 min, stable up to 5*10-8Hz (15Hz at 2700MHz), frequency accuracy within specification. It can be used as a signal source for some types of tests. Excellent value for money and quality.

Affordable must-have. Antenna tool

Excellent product. Don't let the low price fool you, this antenna analyzer is a gem that costs a lot less than other comparable products. Usage is intuitive. The display is clear and bright. It operates over a very wide range from 137.5MHz to 2.7GHz. Only one ticket to test and tune cellular and multi-band antennas. A built-in rechargeable battery and the included charger/USB cable complete the package. When you're on the go, you can use any LiPo USB battery pack for unlimited runtime.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Good enough for good enough measurements!

I compared the measurements with Anritsu S362E and it's within 1 dBi, at least in the 2.4GHz band. The SWR curves are the same across the range and 1dBi, while not negligible, is enough for a pass/fail test on basic antenna tests, which is what I bought it for. This is accurate on Anritsu testing the Diamond 771, so lower frequencies may be more accurate. This seller didn't include calibration weights so I can't verify if it's calibrated or not. It comes with firmware version 0.83 and I can't…

  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Inaccurate, Faulty and Discontinued Product

Reactance (X) and Impedance (Z) measurements are inaccurate below 2 GHz and very inaccurate at higher frequencies. Anyone who buys this network analyzer solely to measure the SWR will not miss out either. It is practically impossible to get reproducible results. A user calibration with an open, short 50 ohm load will result in a completely discontinuous profile. Even a 50 ohm load shows an SWR of 2.2:1. Firmware update is not carried out. Mine came with v0.83 and searching for a bug fix…

Convenient to use for tuning antenna structures

I bought the device after reading various reviews on the net. For the price, it seemed to offer good accuracy compared to lab-grade devices that cost thousands of dollars. I had SMA cables, both "regular" and RP, and the equipment to craft them as needed. This is important as the device comes without a cable (except for charging). There's no manual either, but luckily one can be found online and there are also videos to refer to. The display is of pretty good quality and easy enough to…
