The remote control came in a plastic case. When removed it was oily. Oil was also visible in the plastic bushing. The remote control didn't work.

We lost our remote control. The cats probably threw it in the trash and we didn't notice until we needed it. Put the batteries in the side of the DVD player and it worked great. Highly recommended as a replacement for the original.

Everything was ok for the money. You have to press the buttons hard and the pause button does NOT work, which is a bit annoying. I will not buy again. Updated, more buttons no longer work. I am returning the item.

Half the buttons on the remote control that came with the player didn't work. The other half of the buttons had to be pushed into the remote to (potentially) get it to work. The replacement device was just as defective. Panasonic's quality control has gone down the drain. Hope the next replacement works but I doubt it. I used to think Panasonic was a quality brand.

I have two Panasonic DVD players, one from 2001 and the other from 2005. I was hoping that this remote would replace my last remaining remote . For the most part, that's it. All the buttons are positioned as in the original, so there's no new muscle memory to learn. The only obvious problem is that the play and pause functions are on the ONE button.
