It just works on POS devices

There are no problems with this scanner. Works as a keyboard, USB or Bluetooth. Bought for laptop and smartphone. Comes with a "program sheet" full of barcodes that can be used to change settings e.g. B. whether after scanning the barcode Tab or Return should be sent. I want the USB port on the scanner itself to be a USB Type B port (like some of the other handheld barcode scanners I've seen) and not RJ-45 (8P8C) so a standard USB cable can be used (e.g. printer, etc.).

  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • A few little things

Works with my iOS square stand

Installed on my 7 year old Square iPad stand running iOS 9.3.5 and Square 5.31.3 Although the iPad recognized the scanner in Bluetooth mode I was NOT able to use the Square app retrieve find the scanner. I had to switch and plug the included USB dongle into an available USB port on the square stand and set the scanner to 2.4GHz mode. Very easy to follow the instructions. Once I do that, the scanner shows up as a USB scanner. Works great on my Square system.

Impressive and cheap

I am very impressed. The cost of this scanner is about half that of budget scanners and much less than some of its competitors. However, it scans accurately and quickly, has long battery life, and is relatively easy to set up. I had a little trouble connecting it to my Mac via Bluetooth, but after factory resetting the barcode scanner everything was fixed. Bluetooth range isn't great either, but what I need works. I suspect the 2.4GHz variant would have the best range. Overall I am very happy…

Great bluetooth scanner with amazing battery life!

We use this scanner every day and use it via Bluetooth. It works well and allows us to scan anything through our iPad, and with a quick triple tap of the scanner button, it's easy to switch between the scanner as the input mechanism and the iPad's onscreen keyboard. The only downside would be that we carefully dropped it once and it broke so we had to buy another one. Therefore, this item has a limited shelf life, making it clearly unsuitable for field work. Also, my only problem is that it…

Excellent customer support from seller

UPDATE: After initially writing a poor review, the manufacturer contacted me a week or two later and suggested some steps I could take to improve the scanners' performance. Their suggestions fixed the error and I'm impressed with their attention to the quality of what they offer at Revain, so I've upgraded it to a five star product because it works quite well with the steps suggested by the manufacturers. ORIGINAL: In continuous scan mode, the scanner will scan randomly when there is no…

Solid scanner with good results

Trial version of this affordable entry-level scanner for businesses with initial use on PC and iOS devices. The setup is particularly easy to connect to an iPad or iPhone via Bluetooth. When you turn on your device for the first time after the recommended initial charge, it immediately goes into pairing mode and connects seamlessly. I had some help from Leto with the iPad barcode scanner to start the initial barcode creation of our inventory and had very few issues. Reads codes well. There will

Surprisingly good - works with both RF and Bluetooth

Although it's light, it feels solid in the hand. So far I've had no trouble scanning anything with a regular barcode (note that it doesn't work with things like QR codes). Like most devices in this category, it converts various types of barcodes into a string, followed by a newline to simulate user input, followed by pressing Enter. lots of scans so you can use it outside of the range of Bluetooth or RF connections (up to 30,000 according to their specs). This would come in handy if you needed…
