Nalgene Travel Kit Small Clear Review

This travel set works great and is as advertised. I'm not an avid traveler. Toiletries were enough for me for 2 days. These bottles were more than enough. My only regret is that I only entered the amount I thought I would use. Bottles cannot be compressed so I had to wait for gravity. Otherwise an excellent product.

While there is a good selection of bottles, the bag itself leaves a lot to be desired. Cheap zipper and poor location makes it difficult to open and close. It's too big for TSA, but too narrow to use as a toiletry bag (good luck with a good hair comb). As for the bottles, the short wide one is ideal for pills and the tall one with snap cap is ideal for pills. Cotton swab.

Great set for important liquids and gels. I have used this set in my checked baggage on many trips and have had no problems with any products getting into my baggage. I use them for my shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and coconut oil when traveling and am very impressed. I also like the extra holdall to store my bottles and it also acts as an extra leak barrier should one of the bottles fail.

This is NOT a two liter bag. That's my biggest complaint. The bottles are ok, a bit cheaper than I am used to from Nalgene but passable. The small Qtip tray is good. The quality of the bag is not very good, but it is better than a normal zippered bag. The bag says it's TSA approved. But I could tell visually, before checking, that the package was larger than a typical quart lock. I measured it with a ruler and filled it with 7 cups of water, that's almost 2 liters. How the zip is waterproof. Finding a waterproof, or even durable, TSA-compliant zipper for a small bag is surprisingly difficult. I wish the bag could be bought without the bottles but I've actually used a few of these and been very happy (the olive oil didn't seep into my bag). !).
