It took my cat about a month to get used to it. But it's perfect for him. I wish it had a way to change the temperature, but it has a pretty good temperature without having to change it.

I read other reviews, but the problems noted by others did not arise. It's not too hot, my cat liked it in the winter (I put it away until it got cold again). I just want it to be oval because it doesn't fit her bed. It's too heavy to fit in an oval or round bed.

A few years ago I bought a smaller heating pad for a client's dogs and for my dog I bought a different brand which didn't last long. I went back to this brand which works great and always stays cold. It even connects to Wi-Fi so I can turn it on and off from my phone and even set a timer for it to only turn on at night.

I am a Pomeranian breeder. I have 3 of these pads that I have been using for a number of years. I love her! They never switch off and never get hot. The temperature is perfect. If you have a litter of puppies you only need the mat part of the enclosure, they will pick it up when they need it and leave when they don't. I have recommended this pillow to other growers and will continue to do so.

I raise animals so I use it under the fluffy blanket of newborn fluffy boys in the birthing area for puppies and kittens as they cannot regulate that body temperature two weeks after of birth. My seniors love it too (I have several of these heaters) as just like humans they lose that nice brown insulating fat that coats our bones and organs as we age so old furry babies get cold most of the time. Run it for them 24/7.

My cast is so obsessed that I bought a second one. I have 3 older cats. One is very thin so helping with warmth is a welcome relief. I have pain in my hips again and I think the warmth is comforting. The cover is easy to remove and wash. I told my mom about it who bought it for her 19 year old little kitten. She used to sleep curled up, but since my mother gave her a heating pad, she can sleep stretched out because her tiny body doesn't lose heat. Buy it, your cats (or dogs) will thank you.
