Worked great for months

Worked great until the tape broke. My husband enjoyed using it on his daily runs as it kept him hydrated and also kept his military ID and room key and never lost them again. Withstands the sand and heat of summer desert climates. He had never had one before and was impressed when he used it for military 5k races as it had the perfect amount of water. He was no longer dehydrated from running. He used it every day for several months during his regular daily runs until the stitching finally came…

Pros
  • Useful not just for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Good but not great

Trusted companion for mountain runners

As a mountain runner, I have used Nathans for many years and love them. Once you appreciate their few limitations (they can leak in certain situations, like not standing upright on soft surfaces like car seats, or when the nozzle can warp when washed in the dishwasher), they become a trusty running companion . One day I tripped over rocks and Nathan's bottle stopped my fall - if I hadn't fallen straight onto Nathan's bottle I would have certainly broken my wrist (and the bottle/tank itself…

Good for what it is

I wanted a small bottle of water to sip on while running on hot and muggy days. That fits pretty well, although it's not the ideal solution for me. Carrying it with the bottle on the back of my hand, as seen in most photos, gives me tension in the thumb joint. For me it works much better when the bottle is held in the hand and the fingers are wrapped around it. You have to carefully thread the cap and I'm not optimistic about how long the plastic threads will last. The bottle needs to be…

I didn't fit. Fits sports water bottles

I used this during a marathon hoping it would help me get to water stations because I didn't want to run with a wet backpack (my husband met me on the way to the gas station). However, he did not make the 6 miles. Pros: It's lightweight, it has a pocket for sticky gum and chewing gum. Cons: The part where it touches your palm is plastic so you get sweaty, sticky and slippery and I don't. It should be made so that you can quickly squeeze it in your mouth, but the air fills up there and if you…

This REALLY needs an overhaul as do the larger ones

I have a lot of portable running bottles. And these are the worst. There are two BIG problems with the design of this: 1. The bottle has a "leather" collar that you have to insert the neck of the bottle into and then screw on the cap. Well this yoke is so tight and so close to the threads that when you unscrew the cap the yoke gets in the way (like some sort of gasket) and leaks.2. The base that holds the bottle is so poorly designed that it is VERY difficult to easily insert the bottle. That's

Makes a great small water bottle for my walking toddler.

i bought this for my 5 year old daughter who runs with me. She ran 4 miles and asked for her own water bottle (I always run with my Nathan Quick Draw bottle) but mine is too big for her so after some research I found it would fit in her small hand. too big and I don't fill the bottle all the way (she still has to rotate her arms like I do with a running bottle because of the water weight) but this bottle is ergonomically the most comfortable for her small hands. I pulled an adjustable velcro…
