My new best running friend!

My husband is a passionate mountain runner and has a men's version. I borrowed it one day and realized I needed to replace my little Nathan belt with this Vapor Airess. I'm SO glad I did! This thoughtful little beast keeps everything I need safe and easily accessible. I don't normally use a hydration pack, but I do use an Ultimate Direction collapsible water bottle in the left front pocket with a whistle string threaded through the top for a more secure hold. My raincoat, lip balm, asthma…

Pros
  • SPACIOUS - Capacity: 427 cu/7 liters without chamber; 305 cu/5 liters with reservoir
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

The backpack rides up and won't stay in place

I have another Nathan pack that I love so I decided to treat myself and buy a second pack as I have read that it is lighter than the other one I own. I'm 5'2, 125 lbs and a 32d bust. Ordered size S/M. When I run it goes up all the time and then the belt runs down the middle of my chest. Every time I lower it and tighten the straps, it rises almost immediately. I've tried several combinations of adjustments to keep it in place but it won't stop rising. Even if I buckle the straps as tight as I…

Pros
  • DESIGN - Lightweight and comfortable - no feathers, breathable materials and a fitted figure - fitted with soft, non-chafing elastic bindings around the perimeter
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

Poor fit and rear trekking pole storage cords were annoying

Bought this a while ago but forgot to review it. Looks good, but doesn't fit me: The chest straps were uncomfortable to squeeze, even without a hydration bladder inserted. I think the Nathan company assumes that all female runners have small breasts, but that's not the case, even for those of us who are otherwise pretty skinny. A 2 liter bladder (if it fits) would also be too heavy if full and too dirty if not full. Also, the cords at the bottom rear for collapsible trekking poles were another…

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Security

Perfect for little runners

Weighs 4.4 lbs fully loaded. My only complaint is that the main case hangs open. If only there was a button, clasp, velcro, whatever, this would be an absolutely perfect hydration vest. If you are a little runner this is the best ever. I live in Florida so I don't like wearing more than one sports bra for 11 months a year, but I also go through a lot of water in a short amount of time. Oh, did I mention pockets? I can easily carry gels and my cell phone in the front pockets. Additional water…

Decent hydration pack

Nathan Vaporairess is a decent hydration pack. I was looking for a good backpack for my longer runs and upcoming Spartan races. However, when I first used this hydration pack during a fast 10k run, my lower back hurt! I've never had back problems. Even with other hydration packs, weight vests etc but after removing the pack my lower back was killing me for hours. I tried running 5 miles again when my back got better just to see if it would happen again and my lower back hurt again. I am 34B, 29

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
