my fault Tiny. Best in Science Kits and Toys

All my fault. Be sure to read the dimensions. I thought it would be much bigger for butterflies but it's only tiny for small insects. Oops.

Pros
  • Includes Carabiner: Includes loop clip for belt or vest.
Cons
  • Repair

Excellent purchase! on Learning & Education

Great bug catcher! My 2 and 3 year olds love it! They are very easy to open and zip/unzip. I like the carabiner that attaches to belt loops or camp chairs. It is large when opened and folds easily.

Pros
  • Bug Habitat: Catch and protect bugs, critters and flying insects
Cons
  • Reliability

good, not so good for learning and education

The idea of this article is great, but recently I had a little problem. The item is a net, not a rigid box. It is difficult to observe the specimen in its habitat. The Velcro doesn't really keep it closed for storage, but it's nice and portable. Maybe for catching and transporting, but definitely NOT for keeping a bug there for observation.

Pros
  • Pop-up: Children can catch bugs and butterflies, watch them through the net and learn about the life cycle of insects.
Cons
  • Some troubles

Love these smaller retractable cabinets

I love these smaller drawers! They're just the right size to put in my backpack and take with me in case I find a cool bug on a hike to show my students. I also like the little belt clip because I can clip the case to my belt or belt loop on my backpack when it's busy.

Pros
  • Educational: Encourages children to explore the great outdoors. STEM toy.
Cons
  • Expandable

The kids love it - it keeps bugs and stuff!

We took this on a trip to the "cabin" and my daughter used it every day along with her THREE other insect boxes to carry all sorts of critters and their food. It folds into a very small, relatively slim size for easy portability. The rope that holds it together (and is therefore kept so thin and tight) has nothing to do with "rocket science" of course, but you can make it work.

Pros
  • Practical zip: Large zip closes the lid.
Cons
  • Having problems

It's forming! for training and education

Bought this for a 3 year old. Perfect size to wear. It folds up to fit in a backpack, beach bag or suitcase. Ideal for garden, camping or trips into nature. Purchased this item with (Carson BugView Quick Release Bug Catcher and Magnifying Glass for Kids/Adults with Built-in 5X Magnifying Glass). These items make the perfect gift for a fun summer science class. Have fun debugging - remember to catch, watch, study and release with care. Also check out the Big Book of Bugs by Yuval Sommer.

Pros
  • Boys and girls: Fun for boys and girls
Cons
  • I don't like it at all, everything is fine
