Quite difficult to assemble at first

As many other reviews have noted, this item is quite difficult to assemble the first time. The guide only makes sense after making a few mistakes and seeing what the final product looks like (how do I fold it? Does it fit in or outside the half cube?) The bridges between the two towers are a bit flimsy and this creates a certain instability. I ended up removing them and splicing the two towers together for a sturdier construction that my cats prefer wobbly.

Great for small cats.

Bought because my cats love boxes and scratching posts - and not only does it look cool, I think cats will love getting in and out. It's easy to install and made of durable cardboard. My cats were initially interested, but the entry and exit circles - and the size of the cube itself - are just too small for any of my cats. They tried to fit in, but then again they are too big. Overall a durable good looking product best suited for small to medium sized cats.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Clarity

"Instructions? " HA!

I'm just as disappointed as my cats. But it was a joke. First of all, be careful: there are 80 pieces in it. And a three-step guide. There are no words for this. Just drawings and arrows. I'm usually pretty good with these things, but I gave up pretty quickly because I had to pull things out and try them in different places, and soon the box started looking chewed up. I can only imagine what it will look like at the end of the build process - assuming it ever happened. So it's coming back. The…

Great for bunnies but maybe not for cats

First off I would like to say that it wasn't difficult to put together. I almost bought it based on the reviews. After years of Lego, Playmobile and IKEA, that wasn't a problem at all. This took about an hour. Yes the instructions could be better but with the illustrations shown it makes sense. Second, it's a lot smaller than I thought it would be. My cat checked. He was too small for her and she was a small cat. This is normal for rabbits, but they cannot handle the top bunk because of the…

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Strong! My bunny loves it

Okay so I didn't know how to rate this haha due to the difficulty I personally had putting them together. I just didn't realize how many little pieces there were! And I thought it spoke for itself and ended up having to disassemble and reassemble it so many times that I pulled out the instructions and felt like the instructions weren't enough for me. So the second picture is just a taste of the mess and small pieces you need to get out. That's all they say. If it's up, it's good! Very nice…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Not as thick as the others

Need better instructions (manuals)

I realized that after spending an hour trying to figure out what parts and how to assemble them, I'd spend another hour with it Spent making sure I fit the right sides of the boxes together because there are no markings on the sides of the boxes other than the letter (A) for example, and then I got confused as to which side is the inside and which is the outside , so I chose the smoother side. The rougher side was on the outside but there were still issues after I assembled the first box, the…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • There are shortcomings

The cardboard cat cave is approved for kittens!

As the name suggests! My sweet girl loves her new hideout/playground and has made an obstacle course out of it for herself. This is a sturdy cardboard shaped into cubes with eyes and scratch blocks on the bottom. Finally a solution to the problem when your cat wants to play with the box it came in and not the toy you bought. It's not the easiest thing to build, but it gets smooth once you get the hang of it. Pros: ° Durable ° Appeal to the cat's innate need to "sit where it fits" ° Compact but…
