Description of NDS FWAS24 50 Gallon Flo Stormwater Dry Well System Kit with Three Side Panels & One Cover, Black

Protect property from water damage by collecting, detaining, and infiltrating stormwater runoff. Flo-Well Dry Wells are ideal for both residential and commercial locations including yards, playgrounds, golf courses, and wash-down areas. Connect to 4 in. Sewer and Drain Pipe through top cover knockout; 12 side-panel knockout points connect to 4 in. Sewer and Drain and Schedule 40 Pipes; knockout points stay securely in place if not needed. Gravel-free interior provides 250% greater water holding capacity than comparable gravel-filled dry wells. The Flo-Well Dry Well can be buried or stacked up to 8 ft. deep and supports pedestrian traffic including lawn tractors. Can be installed alone; when using more than one, install additional Flo-Well Dry Wells side by side, 18 in. apart; units can also be stacked up to 4 high when able to dig deep without hitting bedrock. Special ribbed design on side panels adds structural strength for long-lasting durability; no need to pack gravel inside. Side panels, when assembled, form a 24 in. dia. X 24 in. tall cylinder; with addition of cover the overall height is 28-3/4 in. with 50 gallons storage capacity. Thirty 1 in. knockout weep holes provide additional infiltration capacity, simply punch out with a firm tap using a hammer and wrap Flo-Well Dry Well with filter fabric wrap (sold separately) to prevent soil intrusion. Great system! Glue it in advance.

I just finished installing today but I'm optimistic the system will help us with some of our heavy rains. Prior to installation, any major fall will flood our patio, and even with normal sprinkler operation, drainage is required at the edge of the patio. As for assembly, I followed the advice of other reviewers and assembled the drum in the garage the night before. I used construction glue in the gaps between the three sides, bent the gap and applied a bead of glue between them before slipping…

As expected: Building materials

My parents' garden has been flooded with rainwater since they bought it in 1999. Varieties don't work for bringing rainwater outside (which should always be your first plan). So I bought this as a last resort. Installation: I hooked mine up to a fairly expansive French 40LF drain with a drain hole at the opposite end (the lowest level in the yard). I dug a hole 5ft diameter and 6ft deep haha I know but given the slope of the French drainage lay down a 2ft gravel pad and appropriate cover first…

Used 3 of these for my garden; in heavy rain no more water collects! Share some rcvd installation ideas from others.

Installed 3 of these in my garden. Uses one for each of the 3 gutters as well as the underground French NDS drainpipes. It has rained a few times and we no longer see puddles of water in large areas of the yard. I did a lot of research beforehand and checked many other brands as well as other methods. This was the solution I chose and it worked great for us. I also used an NDS surface intake on each of them. The top of this dry well can be covered with a drainpipe, but this should generally not

This product is best understood by examining an unexplained suggested use. And recognizing that NDS wants to make a profit means that it is not in their best interest to inform you of these assumptions. This does not mean that they are selling faulty goods.
